Going For the Gold!

Our August newsletter is full of new and exciting programs that MotionWorks Physical Therapy is excited to begin! Just like you, we have been inspired by the athletes competing in the Olympics, practicing basketball, sprinting, distance running, and ping pong like never before! So inspired, that we decided to take our Build a Better Body Series from the drawing board to a weekly class held right in our clinic here in Neenah! We are hoping this will be the first class of many we add to our schedule in the coming year!

We always enjoy sharing our knowledge with others, and our patients always graciously assist us in this endeavor. This summer we have had the opportunity to meet five pre-physical therapy college students and answer their questions and explain our treatments while observing us work with our patients and strength and conditioning clients. Best of luck to Zachary Fahrenkrug, Chris Pynenberg, Mitch Arnold, Zachary Vandenberg, and Brittany Jochman as they return to universities in Wisconsin and Minnesota in the next several weeks. The education doesn’t stop there, however. September 10 will be the introductory meeting to our new MotionWorks Sports Medicine Career Exploring Post for high school students interested in learning more about the professions of physical therapy, athletic training, personal training, and strength and conditioning. Our monthly meetings are always fast-paced, fact-filled, fun nights of experiential learning fueled by the enthusiasm of the students!

The glory of the Olympics will fade in the next several weeks, but we are hoping that feeling of American pride, winning gracefully, and learning from failure will not fade along with it. Use this opportunity to engage yourself and your family in new recreational activities that make being fit a fun, regular part of living a healthy lifestyle! Until next month…
